Kate Beckinsale’s Pre-SAG Pet Woes
Prior to dazzling spectators on the red carpet at the 2008 Screen Actors Guild awards, Kate Beckinsale had a mini pet emergency back at home.
“Our cat [Clive] caught fire on a candle,” the actress told press, adding, “As I was getting ready, there was like ‘whoosh’ a fireball and he went up like a rocket.”
Fortunately, things turned out for the best, as Kate tells, “[The cat] is fine. He had no idea.”
However, the Underworld actress and her husband Len Wiseman’s home didn’t fare quite as well. Of the odor from Clive’s burnt fur, Beckinsale laughed,"It was awful!”
