Kanye West’s Mom’s Surgeon Walks Off Interview
It’s been a hectic time in the life of the West family. And after attending his mother’s funeral near Oklahoma City yesterday, Kanye West is resting easy.
The surgeon that operated on his mother abruptly refused to do an interview with Larry King last night, per West’s wishes. Dr. Jan Adams was beginning to speak to the CNN host when he suddenly walked off the set.
He told Larry, “I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family and they have asked me not to go on. And I’ve said from the very beginning, I don’t have a side in this. They are my side and so I’m going to respect their wishes.”
King asked Adams if he’d ever be willing to discuss the death of Donda West. “When they’re [the West family] comfortable, then I’ll be comfortable. If they’re never comfortable, then I’ll never be comfortable. They are what’s important to me. I said that from the start and that’s what I’ll continue to honor.”
