Kanye West Mourns Mother’s Death

It’s a sad time in the life of Kanye West.  He has a hit album, and a killer tour, but all of that doesn’t make up for the fact that he just lost his mother.

Donda West passed away this past Saturday at 58 years of age.  And it was well-known that the “Jesus Walks” rapper loved his momma.

Kanye wrote the song “Hey Mama” for Donda, who raised him on her own ever since his father took off on them when West was three years old.

Donda was the former chairwoman of Chicago State University’s English department.  The cause of death hasn’t been released.
