K-Fed Death Threat: Case Already Closed
Entertainment insiders were reporting Monday morning that the FBI and Los Angeles police department are investigating unconfirmed reports that Britney Spears’ ex-husband has had a contract taken out on his life.
The insiders also reported that the police had made an attempt to contact Kevin Federline to inform him about the potential danger concerning the death threat.
While the police have denied the story and the FBI is refusing to comment, it is often considered standard operating procedure to block media access when dealing with high profile cases.
At the same time that this story was breaking, K-Fed and Britney Spears were trying to wrap up some other legal issues at family court in LA. As previously reported by the Gossip Girls, a lawyer that is representing neither K-Fed, nor Britney, has come forward on behalf of a witness claiming to be able to provide a “smoking gun” testimony in regards to Britney’s bad parenting skills, including drug use in front of her two children.
While the identity of the mystery witness remained a secret today, there was some commotion in the courtroom when both sides were escorted by the sheriff’s department to a secure location to discuss some “serious” issues. Whether these serious issues were related to the custody battle or K-Fed’s death threat remains unclear.
Update: According to LAPD, the death threat investigation is an old story. Police reports state, “the department opened an investigation into a threat on Federline’s life nearly two months ago, but the case was closed due to insufficient evidence.”
