Julia Roberts Talks Love Scene Laughter

Busily promoting her new movie, Julia Roberts was all smiles at the New York City premiere of “Duplicity” on Monday night (March 16).

The “Pretty Woman” actress, who stars alongside Clive Owen in the soon-to-be-released flick, recently chatted about her experience shooting “steamy” scenes.

Julia explains, “It was awful and awkward, we were just laughing. The director, Tony Gilroy, would yell at us then we would try to kiss without laughing and we’d fail and Tony would yell at us again. So eventually, we would get in so much trouble that we just got through it.”

The 41-year-old big-screen beauty adds, “But that’s what makes it fun, to be with your pal, because you can turn that awkwardness into silliness.”
