Jon and Kate Gosselin Talk Divorce
While it comes as no shocker, it is official: Jon and Kate Gosselin have made the decision to end their marriage.
On Monday night’s episode (June 22), the couple sat separately while giving their individual take on the current situation, and at about 20 minutes before the show’s end, the big announcement came.
“Kate and I have decided to separate. It’s just not good for us to be arguing in front of our kids. ... We can’t be cordial with one another.” Jon said.
With tears in her eyes, a very somber Kate added, “My goal is peace. If peace needs to be brought about by this, then I’m in agreement.”
She continued, “The show must go on. I will continue to be here, be with the kids, do the same things I’ve always done with them.”
At one point, Jon said he was “excited” about starting a “new chapter in his life.”
