John Travolta’s Extortion Case Update
As the trial of John Travolta’s alleged extorters continues, new evidence has surfaced that may prove to be bad news for the defendants.
According to a report, video footage of conversations between the “Face/Off” actor’s attorney and paramedic Tarino Lightbourn and his lawyer Pleasant Bridgewater contain evidence detrimental to the defendant’s case.
When asked what he would do with the $25 million he was extorting, Lightbourn replied, “I was poor all my life. You know, me and my family, were struggling all our life. I wanted to do things for charity all of my life.” Travolta’s lawyer replied, “You’re a Bahamian Robin Hood, man!”
Then, Lightbourn agreed to a reduced price of $15 million, but wouldn’t take installments. He explained, “I can’t do installments. I want to get this behind me. I want to put this to rest. I don’t want to see you anymore ... I’m thinking, how do I know if I go to the States one day the Feds don’t pick me up? How do I know if I go to the States one day, it’s not a hit on me?”
All of the video footage has served to prove that the defendant was involved in an extortion scheme in order to keep a Do Not Transport form out of the public eye.
