Wednesday, April 08, 2009 John Travolta and Kelly Preston: Living without Jett
They’ve been rightfully keeping to themselves since the tragic death of their son, Jett. And now, three months later, it looks like John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston are slowly letting the world back in. People magazine recently reported that John and Kelly had a birthday party for their daughter Ella Bleu, who turned 9 on April 3. “Just as they would any other year,” says a close friend of the family of the celebratory festivities. Another friend tells People that the couple is leaning on their strong Scientology beliefs and their close bonds to cope with losing Jett, who would have turned 17 on April 13.

COMMENTS Wow only three months later and they are already doing PR.
I am not denying they loved their son, but they have been taken down the wrong path by their “church” And the way Scientology is set up, with Austism not being recognized, I would imagine that Kelly and John are a tad relieved that they don’t have to hide Jett any more from the public. I never even knew they had a son until recently. Just disgusting. Until they leave the cult that supports human rights abuses, I have no respect for either of them. Posted by on 04/08 at 07:00 PM

As a Scientologist, I am outraged at so much of the media’s snide implication that Mr. John Travolta’s religion was to blame for Jett’s death. The truth is that Scientology provided John the tools to handle his son’s spiritual condition through the standard application of LRH tech. Instead, John chose to poison his son with the psych drug Depakote. John, you are an embarrassment to all of Scientology for turning to the pseudoscience of psychiatry. This is the overt that pulled in the tragic end cycle of your son. Please, John, for the love of god, get your ethics in and PLEASE disconnect from the psychs. Posted by on 04/11 at 10:17 PM
"The truth is that Scientology provided John the tools to handle his son’s spiritual condition” as you can see, scientology is yet again talking out of its ass. “spiritual condition”, umm, last time I checked, seizures were MEDICAL condition. and as for depakote, his religion told him not to take it, he stopped taking it and lo and behold, he had a seizure! The man who invented this cult hated psychiatry for two reasons. 1. he was a insane and narassitic, so he disliked being told he was insane. 2. his book on dianetics only was sold as religious text after the american psychiatric association informed him that, because he had zero medical training and his books had zero merit, that if he sold them as mental health books, he would be arrested for practicing medicine without a license and be fined and arrested by the FDA. Dear John and family, I am appalled at the hostile and judjemental letters people have written, blaming you for your son’s death. My husband’s eldest son died 2 years ago at the age of 26 of a accidental drug overdose. How painful for any father who loved and raised their son to be blamed for their son’s death. Jesus said “Let anyone without sin be the first to cast the first stone at St Mary Magdalene” for her adultery. Jesus instead said to her no one has condemened you now and I will not. Go and sin no more and live in the love of my Father.” If the world new the meaning of divine mercy, than the world would be healed. Posted by on 08/29 at 11:56 PM
