John Mayer Defends Britney Spears
It’s no secret that Britney Spears has utilized a vocal track during her performances for years now, and finally John Mayer addressed the controversy surrounding her Circus tour in Australia.
Over the weekend, Mayer tweeted, “If you’re shocked that Britney was lip-synching at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you,” alluding to the fact that it’s common knowledge that Spears lip-synchs.
During Brit Brit’s Friday night gig at the Burswood dome around 100 disgruntled fans walked out of the show saying it left a lot to be desired. One fan told press, “It was so impersonal. She did not interact with her audience. There were no big TV screens projecting the action, so if you didn’t know Britney, you might have even doubted it was her.”
Still others were blown away by the show. “I paid $AUS 1,500 [nearly 1400 U.S. dollars]. To see a fantastic artist perform and sing in front of me is my dream come true. I love you Britney.”
