John Mayer Announces Summer Continuum Dates

Five-time Grammy winner and 9 million album selling artist John Mayer announced the dates for his Summer Continuum Tour.  The tour is set to kick off June 1 in Ridgefield, Wa.  Mayer is already reaping the success of his latest album’s Grammy accolades.  Mayer recently saw a spike in album sales when his platinum-selling September release, “Continuum,” scored a pair of Grammy Awards: Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the single “Waiting on the World to Change.” To add to his success, Mayer was recognized on the cover of Rolling Stone’s February issue as one of the “Top Twenty New Guitar Gods.”

Joining Mayer on tour is Ben Folds, the former frontman of Ben Folds Five, a pianist, songwriter, performer and multi-instrumentalist. His first solo record after the band’s split was “Rockin’ the Suburbs” in 2001, in which he played nearly all of the instruments, most notably guitar. Newcomer to the indie folk/rock scene, Brett Dennen, will open the show.
