Joel Madden’s Baby Excitement

When it comes down to it, having a baby is a pretty huge deal. And while marriage is “definitely in their future” Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden is focusing on his soon-to-be-born baby and his or her mother.

Nicole Richie first announced that she was preggers on Good Morning America to Diane Sawyer. And since then, life has changed immensely for the two expecting parents.

Joel told press, “Obviously, marriage is in our future. I don’t know when or where or how, but right now our priority is our family and is the baby. That’s all we’ve been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy.”

And the “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” rocker confesses that he’s pumped about fatherhood. “I’m excited. We are all really excited about it. Its the best thing that has ever happened to us. It’s awesome.”

But don’t get your hopes up about finding out the sex of the baby. Madden reports that they don’t want to find out. He told press, “No, we are waiting. We don’t even know. So right now it’s an it. Which sounds wrong. We call it the baby. When we talk to it, it’s a you.”
