Thursday, June 14, 2007 Joe Francis’ Girls Gone Wild Days On Hold
We’ve all seen them on TV. The Girls Gone Wild commercials seem to permeate late night television, and it’s hard to believe that so many girls would clamor to expose themselves for nothing more than a free t-shirt. Well, two of those girls are suing GGW creator Joe Francis, and they mean business.
This past Monday, a lawsuit was filed in Panama City alleging that Brooke Pastolic and Christina Brose were lured onto the GGW bus, and given alcoholic beverages before they were coerced into sexual acts that appeared on the brand’s DVDs. The kicker is that they were both under 21, and never consented to the filming (or were too drunk to know they consented).
But the Francis camp is fighting the charges tooth and nail. “Girls Gone Wild crews don’t serve alcohol on their tour busses and they do ask women for identification to verify their age,” attorney Michael Burke told press. And Joe Francis sits by in a Nevada prison as his Federal Tax Evasion suit is pending. He is also charged in Florida with using minors in sexual performances, conspiring to use minors in sexual performances and prostitution. Bookmark this Story | Share with a Friend
