Jewel Ties the Knot
After dating boyfriend Ty Murray for ten long years, Jewel reportedly tied the knot with the rodeo champion in a private ceremony last night (August 7).
The “You Were Meant for Me” songstress and her “Celebrity Bull-Riding Challenge” stud reportedly eloped to the Bahamas for a quiet, secluded wedding.
According to Jewel’s rep, “She wore a traditional wedding gown, while Ty wore his favorite blue jeans, white shirt and cowboy hat. The couple is very happy and look forward to enjoying their honeymoon.”
It’s quite a change from the “Who Will Save Your Soul” crooner’s sentiments last year when she told press, “We don’t know if there’s a point – we’ve lapped our friends who’ve gotten married and divorced. We probably would if we had kids – we’re just not sure we want them yet. But we’ve had something really special already.”
But rest assured that Jewel and Ty aren’t just messing around. Days before the wedding, she told press, “It’s something that needs to be taken seriously.”
