Jessica Simpson Swimwear Burns Up The Catwalk

If you’ve been sunning yourself all summer, and thinking, “Why can’t I look more like Jessica Simpson on the beach?” then you’re in luck. This past weekend marked the launch of Jess’ new line of swimwear.

The scene was Miami’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and Jessica was looking good as she promoted / debuted her new collection of swimsuits. The former Newlywed took her first step into fashion design, and from all accounts, it was successful.

The new line includes all kinds of sexy bathing suits, from skin-bearing tiny two-piece bikinis to the more modest but tasteful one-piece suits. Color and texture were key ingredients in the Simpson swimwear success. And Jess even hand picked the models for the runway show, helping them get ready backstage.

We also hear that Jessica’s parents were concerned that the singer turned designer was spreading herself too thin. Backstage, the overprotective parents were seen following her around, Evian brumi can in hand, misting her to keep her awake and hydrated.

Nonetheless, at the end of the day, it was a swimming success.
