Fresh off of celebrating her 29th birthday, Jennifer Love Hewitt has joined forces with The Abbey and Los Angeles Magazine to "raise much-needed funds and awareness for AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) through the 7th annual "The Envelope Please" Oscar viewing party."
The Ghost Whisperer actress will play special host at the black-tie cocktail and dinner event, which "has raised more than $1.2 million for APLA through the years."
According to a press release, "This year's fundraiser is expected to draw more than 500 guests for cocktails and a sit-down dinner featuring a menu developed by The Abbey's chef Michael Brown for the special event."
"Gathering with friends to watch the Academy Awards is one of my favorite traditions, and I am honored to join APLA's supporters once again for a great evening at The Abbey," said Love Hewitt, who will be hosting for the fourth consecutive year.
"We are looking forward to a memorable event with entertainment, food, and friends, and most importantly, a chance to raise much-needed funds for an important organization," she added.
