Jennifer Hudson: Keeping a Positive Mindset
Slowly but surely adjusting to life following her family tragedy, Jennifer Hudson headed out for the Topshop VIP Dinner in New York City on Wednesday night (April 1).
The “American Idol” songstress sparkled in silver as she smiled for photographers, joining a star-studded guest list including Kate Moss and Jennifer Lopez.
As for Hudson’s healing since her family members were slain four months back, Hudson’s childhood friend Walter Williams III told EW, “"It was so, so horrible what happened, and she’s still hurting. But she’s a strong girl and she knows her family is in a better place. I really think she’s going to be okay.”
Drawing strength form music, Jennifer explains, “This (performing) is what I love to do, and I hate to sit still. I have been active for the past four or five years, and to be working like that and then to just stop and all you hear is the clock ticking ... That will drive you crazy.”
