Jennifer Hudson Hits Angel Ball, Eyes Mandela Role
Taking a break from mommy duty, Jennifer Hudson attended the 2009 Angel Ball in New York City last night (October 20).
The 28-year-old vocalist looked gorgeous in an all black dress complete with a patent belt, tights and heels as she posed for pictures outside Cipriani’s on Wall Street before heading inside.
Aside from performing last night, Ms Hudson has been busy with her mom, music and film careers and is now in talks to portray the lead role in a biopic about South African leader, Winnie Mandela, according to Perez Hilton.
Winnie Mandela is a controversial political figure who has long since been divorced from Nelson Mandela and eventually found her way into some legal troubles and on the receiving end of some sharp criticism from her native South Africa.
Nothing has been confirmed, however.
