Jennifer Hudson: Blessed by Grammy Nominations
It’s been a really hard past few months for Jennifer Hudson and her family as a result of the murder of her mother, brother, and nephew. And yesterday she told press that in the midst of her pain, she feels blessed by the four Grammy Nominations she received earlier his week.
The “American Idol” alum expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive 4 Grammy nominations is truly a blessing. I’m extremely honored and humbled by the nominations.”
Hudson received nods in the categories for Best R&B Album, Best Female R&B vocal performance, Best R&B Song, and Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group.
In an incident of sweet coincidence, Hudson’s estranged brother-in-law William Balfour (a suspect in the murders) was denied bail, making it an extra-good day.
