Jennifer Garner Toughens Up For The Kingdom
The upcoming release of The Kingdom is sure to attract the fan base that Jennifer Garner developed while appearing as Sydney Bristow in the hit TV drama Alias. Cast as another secret agent out to save the world, Jennifer is able to once again prove that she can still kick butt and look like a model on the catwalk at the same time.
In discussing the behind-the-scenes adventures of the new movie, Jennifer explained that she had signed on to the project with the expectation that it would require minimal stunt work. However, she quickly discovered that director Peter Berg had a very different artistic approach to the project.
"It was so down and dirty that I had scratch marks that we had to cover up on my face for the next few days,” says Garner, who plays a government agent on a mission in the Middle East in The Kingdom.
“Pete Berg was a guest star on Alias the first season,” she said recently at a press event for the film. “He and I had a fight. His idea of doing the fight was to improvise. I am a girl. I don’t really want to be punched. ... He started trying to actually hit me, so I shouldn’t have been surprised. They yanked me out of that fight so fast.”
However, it appears that Jennifer’s husband Ben Affleck was enjoying the show, as he encouraged his wife “Go, go for it, babe! Harder!”.
