Jennifer Garner Goes British with This Side of Truth
As she enjoys her success on Broadway, Jennifer Garner is looking ahead to what’s next in her career. And it’s taking her across the pond.
The “Alias” hottie is set to star in “This Side of Truth” with Ricky Gervais, the creator of the British comedy “The Office” (we have one here in the States, too!). In the film, Gervais plays a man who “discovers how to lie in a world where people only know how to be honest.”
Ricky plays a hapless character named David Brent on “The Office,” but this new role sounds as if he’ll be stretching his acting legs a bit.
An insider told press, “Filming begins in the spring and it’s obviously going to be quite a departure for Ricky. Not many of us thought we’d ever see the man behind David Brent getting romantic with someone like Jennifer!”
And Jennifer has revealed that she and Ben Affleck have high hopes that their daughter Violet will choose a career other than acting. “She is unaware of what we both do for a living, but if she wanted to be an actress we would both just kabosh it.”
