Jennifer Aniston Takes New Role, Goes To Hawaii

She’s been absent from the big screen since The Break-Up, but Jennifer Aniston definitely has reason to celebrate after signing on to star in the big screen adaptation of John Grogan’s bestselling book ‘Marley & Me’.

The Friends actress, who was spotted vacationing in Hawaii with the Cox-Arquette clan over the weekend, will be sharing the stage with Wedding Crashers actor Owen Wilson.

Variety reports inform that Grogan’s memoir “tells the story of the hyperactive Labrador who caused mayhem in his life but became a vital part of his family.”

The film, which will start production early next year, will be directed by David Frankel. Frankel’s credits include The Devil Wears Prada, along with numerous episodes of Entouage and Sex In The City.

And on an interesting side note, both Owen and Jennifer are 38-years-old, single, and coming off of high-profile break-ups. Sounds like the ingredients for a great movie and a possible romance, too.
