Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri Call It Quits
A huge memorial happened on July 7 for Michael Jackson that brought friends and family. But who wasn’t there that had people surprised? Janet Jackson’s long time boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri.
One friend of the music producer claims he just “doesn’t attend funerals,” however, it sounds like the two have gone to splitsville.
“They have been moving in different directions for a while,” one source says.
The couple was together for a good seven years, but a pal of the two says, “You shouldn’t mix business with pleasure. Janet felt their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things separate.”
And although sometimes opposites do attract, this was not the case. “Jermaine likes to be out there, mingling with everybody, and Janet’s more shy. In the meantime, Janet is heavily mourning over her brother’s death. She’s devastated,” an insider says. “She’s busy caring for Michael’s kids. Janet’s the family’s backbone.”
