Jamie Lynn Spears Is Pregnant
Following in her troubled sister’s footsteps, Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant at the age of 16.
The Zoey 101 star recently told OK! magazine that she’s expecting and planning to go through with the pregnancy. Taking the story out of rumor stage, Nickelodeon confirmed the reports by releasing a statement in support of their young actress.
"We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”
The father of the baby is said to be Jamie Lynn’s longtime boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, who’s the son of a Tennessee papermill worker. The couple first met at church.

This was bound to happen. why was she allowed to move in with her boyfriend at 16? her parents are insane and irresponsible. having a child at 16 would be so so difficult, but can you imagine being in the spotlight also? she will be messed up like britney, so the baby will have issues. the whole family needs help. the baby shouldnt be brought into the world..it wont be looked after properly everyone can just tell. she will fall apart. it is illegal...her boyfriend could go to jail also. it is such a mess.

it sucks that everyone is being so hard on her. so many teenagers get pregnant all the time, not saying that it is right, but just becuase she is ‘in the spotlight’ and famous, therefore sheis terrible. im 17 and in highschool and i couldnt name more then 10 people who arent having sex at my school. it happens, and it is happening. shes just like every other teenager who has been in this situation, so i wish people would stop acting like she is the first.

HEY OMG am in shock am a big BRIT fan and come on peopleee shes a kid and we need to all be supported of her, i know Jayme will get threw this and is not the first teen to be in this spot. This in a way maybe a part good example for our teens if u get pregno be responsable dont go on killing an innocent baby, I admire Jayme shes taken this with great RESPONSIBILITY!

i think she is definately setting a bad example BUT you gotta give her props for not just “taking care” of the pregnancy like a lot of people do...but come on, she couldn’t have been too surprised...if you’re having sex, you can get pregnant, its not rocket science…

I feel bad for both the family and Jamie Lynn. Not only do you have to live in the shadows of Britney, but now your pregnant? I understand girls are having sex younger and younger, but c’mon use the tiny bit of brain power you do have and use a condom. Her boyfriend is what 19, shes 16 no one told her to use condom or birth control? Fashion designers are throwing clothes and shoes at her and her sister but no one could throw her a condom? Thats just really sad.
Also i dont think he should be thrown in jail its her decision, that should be good enough.

Jamie Lynn being pregnant isn’t all that shocking to me… I mean, I’m not saying that she’s just like Britney because she’s NOT. She has been seeing her boyfriend for what, 2 years and she lives with him (which is not very good in my eyes). Lynn Spears was terribly irresponsible for letting her live with him, because she knew what was bound to happen. Crazy. But, Jamie keeping the baby is very responsible, and I admire her for that. Also, Casey SHOULDN’T be put in jail for this. That is so lame. He’s only 2 years older than her. Much love to Jamie Lynn.

I really don’t care that Jaime Lynn Spears dated her boyfriend for 2 years; she shouldn’t have gotten pregnant. I’m disappointed in her boyfriend for not suggesting birth control pills. I don’t think her keeping the baby is wise, she’s just a kid herself. If she wasn’t smart enough to get birth control pills or use a condom, she shouldn’t be allowed to have a child. I really hope the boyfriend goes to jail because it’s illegal to have sex with a minor. I have been dating my boyfriend for nearly 4 years, and I haven’t gotten pregnant (or plan to). So there’s no excuse for the “she’s been dating him for 2 years” crap.

omg what are you people talking about “not be allowed to keep the baby” who is going to stop her? obviously her mother is supporting her decision and who are we to judge? teenage pregnancy is a huge issue around my neighborhood because mexicans (which i am) tend to get married and pregnant early so this is not a big deal in my opinion and it’s not like she doesn’t have means of support she is flipping rich and could definitely take care of the baby. and for her being like britney...hello they are related not clones they are bound to make mistakes and britney was like 22 and married. britney gets enough heat for doing things “the right way” but it’s just because the public didn’t like who she did it with. i support jamie lynn and britney more power to them!!

My name is Devaney. I get pregnant at 13 in 1/2 and now im turning 16 in Feb, 7th 08… My son is 16 months he is my life yes i am a young mother and so is Jamie but you can not Judge anyone… My sister uses drugs and she has 3 kids and i do not use drugs so you cant judge people by thier family… The farther of my child has nothin to do with us so it is really hard… so I wish for the best for Jamie!

I am a fan of neither of the pears sisters. I do HOWEVER have to say Jayme is making the right choice in being responsible for her actions. I think an abortion is the easy way out of responsibility. I not being able to have children due to my own mistakes makes me wish that I would have gotten pregnant instead of Cervical cancer. Having a baby is a wonderful life experience that not every one will get to have. I know I won’t. So let the poor girl be.
