It’s Official: Ryan Seacrest To Host The Emmys

As anticipated, Ryan Seacrest was announced on Monday as the host for the upcoming 59th annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

“Ryan Seacrest appeals to a broad audience, including the highly desirable young adult demographic, so he should serve as a magnet for attracting a diverse array of viewers to our Emmy telecast,” said Dick Askin, chairman of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which is responsible for overseeing the event.

Seacrest appears to be trying to keep himself busy as he continues to gain broader mass viewer appeal. Riding the super wave called American Idol, Ryan has been able to establish himself as a common household name, especially in the prime teen to young adult categories.

With FOX’s continued support and a popular radio talk show, it appears that Seacrest will continue on his rise to fame, as he can now add hosting the Emmy’s to his already long list of accolades.
