It’s MTV Video Music Award Time!
As the Fall season approaches us, and back to school sales begin, the familiar sound of the MTV Video Music Awards is in the air. And Justin Timberlake and Beyonce Knowles are at the front of the nomination pack.
Both pop singers have seven nominations each, the network announced yesterday on Total Request Live. Along with JT and the Bootylicious girl, Amy Winehouse, Kanye West, and Rihanna are all up for the Video of the Year award.
And the highly coveted best new artist category is up for grabs from the likes of Lily Allen, Carrie Underwood, Gym Class Heroes, and Peter, Bjorn and John.
Rihanna also was nominated for five awards, including best female artist. She’ll be competing in that category against Winehouse, Beyonce, Fergie, Nelly Furtado, and Rihanna.
Be sure to watch the MTV Video Muisc Awards live from Las Vegas on September 9th at 9pm ET.
