Hugh and Nicole Yet To Find On-Set Romance

Baz Luhrman’s new epic film, Australia, has been getting buzz for quite some time now.  People are flocking to the set to catch a glimpse of the action.  It is being dubbed Gone With the Wind meets Out of Africa.  But so far there has been no sign of the graphic love scenes between Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman.

In doing the pre-filming press for the movie, Nicole made it a point to emphasize the prospects that she would be getting naughty with co-star Hugh Jackman.  She told The Courier-Mail how much she was looking forward to “more than a kiss” with the X-Men star.

Nevertheless, in the weeks since they started production, there are no signs of such a steamy encounter.  They have, however, been receiving all kinds of people coming out to the set of the film to check it out.  Some of the more dramatic scenes shot in the main street last week involved Kidman and Jackman getting into a heated argument with nemesis and cattle baron Bryan Brown. And the crowds loved it.

It must be thrilling to see Nicole in her “Lady Sarah” attire, looking all prim and proper.  Meanwhile, Jackman has embraced his character with a two-week-old beard, sweat-stained shirt and cowboy hat.

We’ll continue to check in on the Aussie film set, and eagerly await the release of Australia. Until then, enjoy some more pictures from the set - taken on May 25!
