Hudson, McConaughey Premiere “Fool’s Gold”

It’s been a moment in the making ever since their on-screen chemistry in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” hit theaters. And last night, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey helped usher in “Fool’s Gold.”

The Hollywood red carpet event was almost ruined, though. Kate Hudson left fans waiting in the cold, showing up about an hour late for the event. But when she got there, the wait was well worth it.

Hudson told press that working with Matthew was sometimes like a competition. “Definitely we have a little bit of a competitive thing together, we definitely know how to push each others buttons really well which I think is probably why most couples can relate to us, we definitely know how to push each other.”

And McConaughey (with his babymomma Camila Alves) wholeheartedly recommended his new flick. “This is like a good Romancing The Stone type adventure and we got some romance in it, so you’re gonna get all that you get from a romantic comedy but I also get my a**e kicked a lot in this film, like nine times.”

He also commented on the dynamic between himself and Hudson. “Something works with us, we’ve got a nice choreography that we do not rehearse. We can hit each other below the belt and still come back from it. We fight well, we flirt well, there’s sort of an ebb and a flow!”
