Howie Mandel Hospitalized in Toronto

In celebrity medical news, Howie Mandel was hospitalized on Monday (January 12) due to an irregular heartbeat - with the actor reportedly to be released on Tuesday after overnight monitoring.

"Howie is in the hospital being monitored for an irregular heartbeat but doctors expect him to be released and back to work tomorrow," Mandel's rep told in a statement.

Contradicting earlier rumors, Howie's rep added, "He did not have a heart attack."

The 53-year-old "Deal Or No Deal" host was in Toronto during the medical scare filming his brand new NBC show "Howie Do It."
