Heather Locklear’s New Pilot

The always beautiful Heather Locklear has teamed up with ABC for a new sitcom pilot.

The popular TV veteran has signed up for See Jayne Run. According to details released by Hollywood Reporter, the comedy follows a busy working mother who tries to keep her good living even after her daughter is born.

Despite the failed ABC pilot Women of a Certain Age, which was created last year and also starred Locklear, the broadcasting company couldn’t refuse the talented celebrity for this new role.

The cast may not be “star-studded,” but the show’s lineup involves many TV vets besides Locklear (Melrose Place, T.J. Hooker), including Kurt Fuller (Big Day, Scary Movie), Stephen Rannazzisi (Big Day), Ava Gaudet (Ugly Betty) and Jarrad Paul (Monk, 40 Days and 40 Nights). Creator Alana Sanko (Murphy Brown, Just for Kicks) is executive producing with Peter Traugott (Jake in Progress, The Showbiz Show).

Locklear’s extensive and almost exclusively TV oriented career makes her an excellent pick for ABC.  Hopefully her and her employer will have better luck with See Jayne Run than they did with Women of a Certain Age.
