Heath Ledger’s Remains Cremated
It’s been a terribly sad ordeal since he was discovered lifeless in his apartment, and today, Heath Ledger’s body was cremated in his native land of Perth, Australia.
The memorial service was held at Penrhos College, and hundreds of Heath’s family, friends, and fans showed up to pay their final respects.
Ledger’s ex-fiancé, and the mother of his daughter, Michelle Williams was among those in attendance at the Fremantle Cemetery ceremony, reserved for close family. She reportedly read William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18.
After the funeral, guests retreated to the Indiana Tea House on Cottesloe Beach. Mourners were observed smoking and having drinks outside on the patio when Williams arrived, clearly shaken.
