Heath Ledger Mourns His Failed Relationship

Life doesn’t stop in Hollywood, even for heartbroken movie stars. And even though he recently split from Michelle Williams, Heath Ledger was back at work, doing press for his new movie “I’m Not There” at the Venice Film Festival.

The Brokeback Mountain stud split with his 3-year-girlfriend Michelle a couple of weeks ago, but the wounds appear to still be very fresh. His somber appearance at a press conference earlier this week testified to that.

A source told press, “He kept his head down a lot and I think he was hoping not to be asked too much. He had his hat tipped a little low and didn’t really make eye contact with anyone. You could tell that he didn’t want to be there.”

And while he was answering questions about the Bob Dylan biopic, Ledger seemed to be distracted. A witness said, “Heath clearly had a lot going on in his head. Sometimes he was just staring off to the side, clearly in his own world.”
