Happy Birthday Brad Pitt!

Believe it or not, Brad Pitt turns 44 years old today! The Fight Club actor was spotted leaving a press junket at the St. Regis Hotel last night, most likely heading home for an early evening in with Angelina Jolie and the kids.

And he sure ages well! The “Ocean’s Thirteen” actor has gained a sense of social justice that can only come with maturity. Brad recently told press how his efforts in the “Make it Right” program will have far-reaching effects in today’s political realm.

“It certainly illuminated that a certain portion of society is not being looked after. I think it should be one of the major issues of the upcoming campaign. This is a proving ground for so many issues: education, health reform, poverty level, unemployment [and] violence that comes from these conditions.”

And while he digs architecture, Pitt stayed away from the design board when it came to planning the 150 new homes he’s working to build. “We didn’t want to stifle these minds in any way. We put forth the criteria that the housing would have to be sustainable, affordable, safe and beautiful. This has been one of the age-old challenges in architecture: how do you find aesthetics with affordability?”
