Gwen Stefani’s Drug Free Tour

In the world of touring, there are all kinds of no-nos. On Gwen Stefani’s immensely successful “The Sweet Escape” tour, the law is being laid down against illegal substances, at least when crossing the border.

The tour crew was issued a stern warning about taking illegal substances across the border for their next stop in Montreal last week. Signs backstage read, “clean out contraband”, clearly indicating that authorities would be forgiving.

With her new baby on the road with her, it’s not surprising that Gwen wants to keep it clean. She celebrated her son Kingson’s first birthday last Saturday (May 26). “We had cake, and he was playing with all the band members. It was a lot of fun. The people here are what really make this tour great,” reported a crewmember.

Having Kingston on the road with her will be fun, according to Stefani, who’s married to British musician Gavin Rossdale. “Because we’ve traveled so much, he’s never got into a schedule. I think this tour is going to be the greatest time to get him one. He’ll have a crib on the tour bus and a room will be set up at every venue with his toys, nappy bed and a rocking chair. So I’ll be rocking him to sleep in the dressing room every night before I go onstage and rock out!”
