Girls Next Door: The Real Story
While they always seemed to get along when the cameras were rolling, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt recently revealed that there was plenty of stress associated with living in the Playboy Mansion.
According to Wilkinson, most of the time she didn’t even see Hef for more than a minute at a time, making it hard to feel like she was in a real relationship. “I had to have sex every now and then, so I had to kind of sneak it. Besides the nights we went out, I only saw Hef, like, once a day walking through the halls to his office. There were never solo dates.”
She continued, “The most we kind of say to each other is, ‘I love you,’ ‘Love you too,’ ‘I hope you have a good day,’ ‘Did you have a good day?’”
Commenting on Marquardt’s fidelity to Hef, Kendra said, “Bridget told me that she’s been faithful all these years, and I was like, ‘How the hell can you do that?’ I had to have [sex] so I could feel my age,like a healthy human being.”
And now that she’s getting married, Miss Wilkinson says she has a new outlook on the “Girls Next Door” style of living. “Now I’m totally against [Hefner’s] way of life, with three girlfriends and all of that.”
As for their interaction, Bridget revealed that while they kept it civil for the most part, there were times of tension as well. “We got along relatively well for three girls living in the same house and shooting a TV show together and doing everything together. But there was always moments where [it was], ‘Oh, Kendra is late again.’ You know, rolling the eyes, the irritation. There was definitely some of that.”
