Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton: Pride of Britain

The Pride of Britain Awards honor ordinary British citizens who have acted bravely or extraordinarily in exceptional circumstances.  And last night Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton were spotted checking out all the action.

The two Spice Girls (Baby Spice and Ginger Spice, that is) both looked ravishing as they arrived on the rain-soaked red carpet, with Bunton sporting a conservative-yet-sexy purple v-neckline dress with black strappy heels, and Halliwell rocking a shimmery green sleeveless dress with black heels.

But for once, the “Wannabe” songstresses weren’t the main attraction, rather there were several ordinary citizens who assumed the role of guests of honor.

68-year-old Bernie Butler was commended for risking his life to rescue a man from an explosion on the M6 motorway following a near-fatal crash, and 16-year-old Carl Duval was recognized for saving the life of a woman who collapsed on a subway track.
