Gerard Butler: New Year’s Day on the Beach

Making the most of his trip to the sunshine state, Gerard Butler was spotted out and about in Miami on New Year’s Day (January 1).

The “RockNRolla” hunk sought out a shoreside perch in the sand where he sat and checked the piled up messages on his BlackBerry handheld.

After getting his fill of the beach, Butler was later spotted walking along the beach and into the Shore Club - one of South Beach’s most luxurious hotels.

Last night, the 39-year-old Scottish actor teamed up with Maria Menounos to welcome in 2009 at the posh hotel’s club Skybar, where guests included Kristin Cavallari, Annalynne McCord, and Kellan Lutz, among others.
