Fergie Hits Foxtail, Talks Gymnastics
When she’s not wowing audiences with killer acrobatic moves while singing her Billboard chart-topping hits, Fergie is like any other girl- she enjoys shopping and going out to dinner.
The “Big Girls Don’t Cry” songstress (she won an ASCAP Award for that song earlier this week) was spotted checking out the boutiques of Rodeo Drive yesterday before stopping into the Luxe Hotel.
She wore a funky combo, including a white button-up blouse and some seriously bleached out jeans, along with an orange patent leather belt.
After a change of clothes, the “My Humps” singer was spotted arriving at Foxtail restaurant in Hollywood. Fergie opted for a stylish all-black ensemble as she made her way to dinner.
Earlier this week, at the American Idol “Idol Gives Back” gig, the “Fergalicous” babe pulled off a one-handed cartwheel during her performance, a feat she’s glad didn’t end up with an embarrassing end. She told press, “Luckily there were no wardrobe malfunctions.”
Such stage moves are the result of her gymnastics background, she explained. “I went through years of gymnastics and I wanted to be a gymnast at one time… I was in a show with will.i.am… and he pulled out this breakdancing move… and I didn’t know what to do because I didn’t know any breakdancing moves.
“So I was like, ‘OK, I’ll just pull out some of my old school moves.’ Fans loved it and so I’ve been putting it in my show and I actually do Barracuda in my set because I sang it for the Shrek 3 soundtrack, so that’s when I do it.”
