Fergie Defends Troubled Hollywood Youth
Despite their troubled pasts, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan have a supporter in Black Eyed Pea singer Fergie. The Glamorous babe jumped to the starlets’ defense after Britney received harsh criticism over her MTV comeback performance.
Claiming that Spears and rehabbing actress Lindsay Lohan are exploited by the media, despite their consistent efforts of seeking help for their troubles, Fergie would like to see all of the badmouthing come to an end.
"They’re young. Leave them alone. If they want to get better, they’re going to get better on their own. If somebody is going to change, they have to want to do it themselves,” Fergie told press.
The Big Girls Don’t Cry songstress added, “I think it is really unfair to them when they are trying to get help. We’re all watching as a nation and commenting day by day on their rehabilitation. It’s not fair. You’re supposed to have a sanctuary, a place where you can go and not be pressured every day.”
