Fergie and Josh Duhamel: Holiday Shoppers

Enjoying their time on the east coast, Fergie and hubby Josh Duhamel were spotted visiting the fashionable SoHo district in New York City on Wednesday (December 16).

Fresh off of attending the premiere of "Nine" the previous evening, the happy twosome ended up picking up some Christmas gifts at a local store during the day's retail session.

As for her new movie, Fergie chatted with press about her distinct singing style throughout the film.

She tells, "It's very robust, almost man-like, very strong. A lot of songs I've done before haven't called for that, and this brought that out in me. I remember, the first time I was on set, the first person I met was Daniel [Day-Lewis], and within fifteen minutes, I was standing at a piano where I had to belt out the song in front of him. I'd go back to my dressing room, and I'd find these little notes of encouragement and support; he'd written them to me as Guido. Like, "Great job! Love, Guido." They were so cute and charming. But it really did encourage me. Singing like that was an evolution for me, and I'm sure it will carry over to my other work. I can't wait to do this song live."
