Eve Crashes Her Maserati, Gets Charged With DUI
In a breaking news story, singer-actress Eve was arrested on Thursday (April 26) on suspicion of DUI after she crashed her Maserati into a divider on Hollywood Boulevard.
According to AP reports, police officer Martha Garcia of the LAPD called in the accident, which occurred at about 2:45 a.m. Apparently, the 28-year-old rapper, whose birth name is Eve Jeffers, lost control of her luxury ride and crashed into the concrete median at the Sycamore intersection.
Eve was cuffed and taken into custody by LAPD’s finest within 15 minutes of the crash. She was released several hours later, after posting the $30,000 bail. Meanwhile, a court date has been set for May 17, during which Eve will face her misdemeanor charge.
According to TMZ, Eve agreed to take a blood alcohol level test, with her results turning out to be “double the legal limit.”
Fortunately, Eve and her two unnamed passengers were uninjured. However, the ‘Barbershop’ actress was “visibly upset,” according to onlookers.
