Ellen Pompeo’s Star-Studded Baby Shower Bash

Making for quite the fun-filled day, Ellen Pompeo was all about celebrating her baby-on-the-way in Los Angeles on Saturday (August 29).

After first taking her hubby, Chris Ivery, for some time with gal pal and fellow expecting mother Nicole Richie, the “Grey’s Anatomy” actress then headed off for a big baby shower at Katherine Heigl’s Los Feliz home.

Joined by 25 friends including Kate Walsh, Rebecca Gayheart and Sandra Oh, the group had a backyard bash - during which time Miss Pompeo happily opened up the stacks of presents lining a nearby table.

Of the event, a source told People magazine, “Ellen looked gorgeous in a white summer dress with her hair in a braided up-do. She seemed very excited to celebrate with her girlfriends.”

Ellen and Chris are expecting their first child together this October.
