Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi: Wedding Weekend

They’ve been waiting a long time to walk down the aisle together, and this weekend Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are getting married.

The talk show queen and her beautiful blonde actress fiancé are planning a small, intimate ceremony in California with just close friends and family having been invited.

Ellen gushed to press, “It’s something that we’ve wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited. I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous that we don’t all have the same rights.”

And unlike the short-lived celebrity weddings Hollywood is known for, DeGeneres feels like hers has what it takes to last. “I feel like I found my perfect fit. She’s taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I’ve taught her.”
