Edie Falco Rallies for Affordable Health Care
Taking time to better the world and lend her voice, Edie Falco was in attendance at a rally for health care reform on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. on Thursday (June 25).
The “Nurse Jackie” star did her best to keep cool in the warm weather, stepping up to the podium to speak about her take on the country’s health care system.
She told a crowd of gathered onlookers, “I’m here because I’ve traveled through the health care system and there are some holes. I’m here because I care about the people in this country and I know that we can do better, that we must do better.”
Falco, a breast cancer survivor, is a member of a group called Health Care for America Now, which has launched $1.1 million in television ads in 10 states supporting Democrats’ health efforts.
