Ed Westwick: Chatty on the Set

Chatting away incessantly on his mobile phone, Ed Westwick was spotted on the New York City set of “Gossip Girl” earlier today (August 5).

The CW stud looked cool and casual as he passed the paparazzi, sporting a black Jimi Hendrix concert t-shirt with distressed jeans and a beige fedora.

In related news, it seems the "Gossip Girl" higher-ups feel that Mr. Westwick has been letting himself go physically, and the producers have had enough.

An insider told press, "Ed has been gaining a lot of weight – not just around the waist, but through the whole body. It even shows in his face. First, the costume department had to buy him new, bigger pants. Then, his shirts and jackets got way too snug. The costumers even requested that the producers talk to Ed – they don’t want Chuck to be fat."

On another note, Ed has also been in the headlines in the romance department - as rumors have been growing that he has broken up with co-star Jessica Szohr, who was spotted enjoying a night on the town earlier this week with former "OC" star Adam Brody.
