Wednesday, September 16, 2009 DWTS to Pay Tribute to Patrick Swayze
The entertainment industry is still reeling from the tragic death of Patrick Swayze earlier this week. And now it has been announced that “Dancing with the Stars” is planning a tribute to the late actor. According to a report, the “Dirty Dancing” star will be honored on the September 23rd live results show. Executive producer Conrad Green told press, “We have some very fond memories of [the late actor] coming to help us when we were a tiny little show way back when.” He continued, “He was one of the few people to integrate dance with being an A-list actor. He inspired many people and many of our pros to dance. We want to honor the great moments he’s brought to film by getting our dancers to do their interpretation to some music from his films.”

COMMENTS So sad to hear about his death. My great aunt just died of Pancreatic cancer, and her sister died of it several years ago. It is such a painful thing to watch, knowing that they are suffering and even with the care of a nurse, it is just knowing that their days are numbered that makes it so hard. Prayers go out to his family. Posted by on 09/16 at 10:35 AM
