Drew Barrymore’s Big Gift
Drew Barrymore was in the giving spirit on Monday, as the former ET star announced on the Oprah Winfrey Show that she is donating $1 million to the World Food Programme to help starving children in Africa.
“I have seen with my own eyes what a difference a simple cup of nutritious porridge can make in a child’s life,” Drew said as she held up the big check while standing next to Winfrey.
The 33-year-old actress added, “It helps them learn, stay healthy and sets them on track for a bright future.”
Of the World Food Programme’s goal with their latest endowment, Executive Director Josette Sheeransaid: “We have a dream ... to feed another 10 million hungry school children in Africa by Thanksgiving Day.”

I want to say that is quite a generous offer Drew left the starving people in Africa.
But we have still failed to see the real lesson here.As Americans we enslaved these people.Allowed them to be educated and then taught how to live with US.
For some of them education was enough to take advantage to make billions in a lucrative industry.
Through we have this industry we have sugar coated the very existence of the black culture in Africa.
Oprah is very rich,and others are just to poor to live.
This should be an example to other races of how fortunate we all are and to do more to help each other as citizens to educate the people that are existing on the history that very well started it all.
To much to fast is what I am saying.
