DJ AM Found Dead in NYC Apartment
Coming as quite the saddening shock to the celebrity world, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was found dead in a Manhattan apartment on Friday evening (August 28).
The 36-year-old’s passing comes nearly a year after he survived a small-plane crash which killed four passengers, while DJ AM and drummer Travis Barker were the lone survivors.
While drug overdose is thought to be the cause of death, no official ruling has yet to have been made.
With an outpouring of support coming forth in the wake of the disheartening news, ex-fiance Nicole Richie is reportedly devastated Adam’s passing.
“When they were together, Adam and Nicole, they were very cool, very good, happy, and upbeat,” a source told FOX News. “She is incredibly affected by this. They had such a close relationship for so long. Even though they’re not together anymore, they had a close relationship, and were friends. They were in touch as friends but didn’t really see each other.”
