Sunday, May 20, 2007 Depp and Bloom Do Disneyland For Pirate’s Premiere
Crowds gathered along a 1,000 foot long red carpet that stretched down Main St, USA, at Disneyland in Anaheim on Saturday for the highly anticipated Walt Disney Pictures’ premiere of ”Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “A handler walked in advance of Depp on the red carpet, explaining to fans how to comport themselves for autograph signing and picture taking. All for naught, it turned out, as pandemonium reigned wherever the actor was sighted. And heaven help anyone caught in the twister that was Orlando Bloom.”
Guests - many whom coughed up a staggering $1500 a ticket - enjoyed the run of the park, partaking in rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Splash Mountain. A good aspect is that the premiere benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation and raised over $3 million!
With such strong response, movie goers are already asking whether or not to expect a fourth installment in the billion dollar franchise.
Noticeably absent was co-star Keira Knightley We haven’t gotten word on the reason for her absence as of this time, but we’ll be sure to get that news to you when it’s made available. In the meantime, enjoy the photos from the POTC 3 premiere. There’s a bunch more in the gallery once you get there!
