Wednesday, May 21, 2008 Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen: Still Fighting
Stepping out early on Wednesday morning (May 21), Denise Richards was all smiles as she left The Rockefeller Center in New York City following an appearance on the Today Show. Continuing on with the three-year battle between herself and Charlie Sheen over custody of their two daughters, Richards spoke about “a previously never-seen e-mail in which she purportedly requested a sperm donation from Sheen, after their split.” Claiming that the e-mail was a fake, Denise told Matt Lauer: “That e-mail is not legitimate. It’s a doctored e-mail. I would never send an e-mail to his ... girlfriend, and, at the time of that e-mail, I was with Richie [Sambora]. If I wanted anybody’s sperm, I’d have asked for Richie’s.” Defending herself further, the 37-year-old added that at the time of the alleged e-mail she had just learned that her mother was dying, so she was “not interested in getting pregnant – especially with her ex-husband.” In response, Charlie Sheen issued the following statement, saying that Richards’s “claims that her e-mail has been fabricated or altered in any way to create this story are absurd. The mere fact the she continues to publicly discuss and harass both Brooke and me three years after our separation which, for the record is longer than the actual length of the marriage, is beyond desperate and speaks volumes.” To watch video footage of Denise’s Today Show interview - Click Here!
