Demi Lovato Talks About Bullies
Growing up can be hard, and Disney star Demi Lovato understands how poorly kids can treat each other. On Wednesday (September 30), the “Camp Rock” star appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” opening up about the issue of bullying.
Ms Lovato told her own story about how she had to endure being picked on and bullied while only in the 7th grade - which caused her to leave her school and become home-schooled.
“I never really understood why [I was being bullied] until looking back. I had a different lifestyle then everyone else,” she told host Ellen. She also added that being a working actress made her an easy mark.
Now, the Disney cutie is trying to stop what she had to go through and defend girls who get picked on. “I want to help with bullying because there are girls who can’t just up and home-school and focus on their career.”
DeGeneres also realizes how big of a problem teasing is today in schools and sympathized with her guest, telling her that bullying is “just so horrible and somebody has to stop it. It goes on in schools for a lot of different reasons. That’s really a shame.”

Thanks so much Demi for sharing your story. This problem is all too common in this nation and I appreciate your efforts in wanting to get this stopped. I work daily to do the same.
People should be able to be themselves and not be hassled for it. We all have rights as people.

Go Demi! She is a really gr8 person and she is awesome inside. I think it is really nice of her to stand up for all the girls who get bullied on. Demitria (Demi) Lovato rox my sox!

go Demi! it’s awesome that she wants to help...she’s such a good role model…
and her Album Rocks! every song is incredible… and at the Ellen Show she sang WONDERFUL!
